Andrey Andreev was born in 1989 in Magnitogorsk. From 2007 to 2013 he studied at the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin. In 2018, he participated in the Chto Delat School of Engaged Art in St. Petersburg, after which he studied at the Baza Institute of Contemporary Art for 2 years. Participated in various art residences and educational programs: Espronceda (Barcelona, Spain, 2015), Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin Foundation (Moscow, 2018), Open Studios Winzavod (Moscow, 2018-2019), Lesnoye11 (Moscow region, 2011). In 2019, he received an award in the nomination "Internet Project of the Year" with the project "Where is my father?".

In his works, Andrei Andreev addresses socio-political issues, often using irony. Works in such media as: creating situations, performance, installation, drawing.
