Asia Zaslavskaia is a multidisciplinary artist who works with painting, installation, performance, sculpture, embroidery and video art. Student of the architectural studio DEZ No. 5 M. Labazova, graduated from the restoration school, Moscow architectural school MARCH with a degree in Architecture and Urbanism (Studio “Novgorod” K. Assa and Y. Palmin)

Bio

The works are often the result of reflection on various existential questions. The artist works with the cultural heritage and customs of the Caucasus. Participant in the Workshop program of the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art (2022-2023), Workshops and art residencies of the Garage Museum (Moscow, 2019–2020) and the Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art (Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Moscow, 2020). Participant of exhibitions in Russian museums and galleries, including the Museum of Moscow, Nikola-Lenivets, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Surface Lab Gallery, Vera Pogodina, Ekaterina Cultural Foundation, GROUND Solyanka Gallery. In 2022, the artist took part in Octava’s first art residency, “Cultural Code of the City,” and in 2023 she presented her personal exhibition “One to One” at Octave.
