The pop/off/art gallery will take part in the Russian Art & Antique Fair in the Contemporary art section, which will be held from 13 to 18 February 2018 at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall. This year, the Russian Art & Antique Fair project will bring together old and modern art on one platform. Russian and foreign galleries and private collections will present high-level works - both works by outstanding masters of the past centuries, and works by the best representatives of contemporary art, reflecting the spirit of the times and the main trends in the development of artistic creativity.
The Contemporary art section of RA&AF will present a separate large exhibition of contemporary artists from ten leading Russian galleries, including the pop/off/art gallery. The Living Together exhibition aims to show not only the possibility, but the necessity of forming a common communicative and visual field in which contemporary art, the art of previous eras and arts and crafts complement each other and become equal and full participants in the art market. The pop/off/art gallery will present at the exhibition paintings by such contemporary artists as Olga Tatarintseva, Ivan Plyushch and Vlad Yurashko, as well as the work of Igor Shelkovsky, Honored Master of Contemporary Sculpture.
A series of interventions will be introduced into the space of the fair, reflecting the issues of continuity of modern culture and dialogue with art history with all the variety of new types of media. Russian Art & Antique Fair aims to preserve and popularize the world and national cultural heritage, promotes Russian art, promotes the formation of public and private collections. RA&AF is scheduled to host a campaign to donate works of art from the collections of the International Conference of Antiquaries and Art Dealers to Moscow State Museums.
