The main theme of the project will be the metaphorical image of a flowering garden as paradise lost and regained. The exhibition will feature photographic works by Polina Rukavichkina, engaging in dialogue with the artistic world of Vadim Sidur: his sculptures, graphic works, as well as photographs of everyday life and work in his studio.
In subjects inspired by Nizhny Novgorod crafts, themes of autonomous ritual reality, and the legacy of artist Veniamin Somov — who balanced between state commissions and personal myth‑making — Polina Rukavichkina explores strategies of escape and survival, where a person creates their own world within the system or disappears into the collective rhythm of craftsmanship.
This approach resonates with the idea of inner freedom and the unique artistic path of Vadim Sidur, whose works were little known to the general public during his lifetime.
The project is organized by the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the Flor et Lavr gallery.
Exhibition extended until February 24
