In the exhibition, eight artists from different regions of the Caucasus and Central Asia — including pop/off/art resident Shamil Shaaev — explore the physiological and emotional drive to reject as a form of communication with the world.
In times of total excess, a person finds themselves surrounded by a permanent lack of empathy and humanity. In this dissonance, contemporary culture offers itself as a space of rejection — a way to set boundaries, refuse harmful scenarios, and make room for care.
Shamil Shaaev's works are exhibited alongside a piece by Saule Dyusembina.
